Ostblock Cooperative - O.B.C. is a collective of three musician friends sharing their passion for deep groove and influences rooted in african american music styles such as Jazz, Gospel, Hip Hop, Funk and electronic music. The intention of this Band is to create their unique voice by mixing their individual musical influences as well as their experiences growing up in east european countries whilebeing drawn to african american culture from young age into their original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards. Their common passion for Jazz and improvised music united them during their Jazz Studies in Austria where they started to create their vision of a sound they are striving for in order to make the audience enjoy the music and being part of the joy that they share together while playing. Electric sounds combined with „break ya neck“ grooves and improvisation are guaranteed!
